Casa Warrandyte is a modernist mud-brick home nestled deep within the Warrandyte bushlands, surrounded by native trees, birdsong and river air.
Designed by architect Alastair Knox and featured in Design Files, the house sits on private, park-like grounds with direct access to the Yarra River and a network of walking and running tracks that begin at the back gate.
It’s a place shaped by light, landscape and stillness — grounded, generous, and deeply connected to its surroundings.
The house is available to book as accommodation for those seeking time in nature — whether that’s slowing down with friends, spending a weekend away with your partner, retreating into solitude, gathering with family, or settling into a restorative work-from-home stay. Casa is also home to intimate retreats and editorial shoots, and is available for guests attending nearby weddings, or for bridal parties looking for a calm, beautiful space to get ready on the day itself.

The main house, the bungalow, and the spaces between. The property includes the main house, which features three bedrooms and sleeps up to seven guests, two bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, an indoor fireplace, and Casa’s signature entryway sunroom — a favourite place to sit with morning light. Outdoors, the patio offers a BBQ, an outdoor bath that runs hot, and a sauna tucked into the landscape for slow evenings of warmth and rest. In addition, a separate bungalow sits ten metres from the main house, sleeping two guests and featuring its own bathroom with shower. In total, Casa Warrandyte sleeps up to nine guests, offering both togetherness and space to retreat.
